Context matters, watch out for terms such as compliant, compatible, verified and certified as they might sound the same, however there can be differences. For example, compliant can mean something adopts a particular standard, while certified can mean actually verified perhaps by a third party. Also pay attention to the level of a standard, regulation, policy or mandate being referenced.
